This example shows how to send a mail merge to members which match the criteria you have selected on the Membership Advanced Query Screen. You can watch a similar example of how to mail merge contacts which have booked parties through the Advanced Party Search Screen if you do not have the optional membership module.

In this example we are sending letters to 20 members whose membership expires at the end of August 2011.

Once you have finished selecting the members you want to send a letter or a reminder too , simply press the mail merge button.

You are asked to give this mail merge data file a name and save it.

Once saved you can either merge this file with your merge template now or merge it later from within microsoft word at a later point in time.

Lets merge it now. Choose the appropriate merge template you have designed.

Hey presto the program merges the appropriate members into the merge template.

You are able to customise the mail merge templates to your own style and add or remove mail merge fields to fit your content.

Merge fields containing data such as the membership number, the expiry date, the number of times a member has visited the play centre, the number of children they have brought along, the number of children the member has, the names and dates of birth of the members children can all be used in the merge template in order to produce a letter which looks highly personalised..
